Me into Harry Potter?

So on Friday the class went out to the movies to watch Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows Part one. I honestly liked the movie except for one thing.... I didn't get what the heck was going on! I felt so clueless. All I knew was that Harry's parents where killed by he who must not be mentioned (forgot his name see what I mean) but he was just left with a scar. Since than Lord Voldemort has been trying to kill Harry Potter. It's not that I didn't get was was going on, but I felt like I would of enjoyed the movie that much more, if I had read the books. Not only to get what was going on,  put to have something to compare the movie with.

Once we to school we had to do independent reading. I didn't feel like reading my book, I was still in the Harry Potter mode. So I sat down with this thick harry Potter book in hand. I was about to put the book back on it's self  because I was to lazy to get into this book. Truth is that the only reason I  never read a Harry Potter book is because i felt so discouraged by the size of it. But after watching the movie I really wanted to fill in the gaps in my head. I opened the book and started reading it was not what I expected.

As i was sitting down reading i was disappointed. Not at the book but at myself. I expected the the book to be really boring, confusing and hard to understand. I was so into the book, that when Brianna interrupted my reading to show me what was going on in her book I didn't want to stop reading. When I looked at the page number so i wouldn't lose my page I was like 37 pages into the book. I was surprised. I didn't feel the time go by. When people say don't judge a book by it's cover they mean it literally. As soon as I'm done with my book, I'll definitely  be giving the series a try.
